Each of us makes a difference, and as we join forces,

we generate a power far greater than the sum of the parts.

This site is a list of links to groups that are working to restore Democracy and end Corporate Rule.

Corporate Rule (variously called Corporatocracy, Plutocracy, Oligarchy, and Fascism) is control of society by wealthy corporations, through excessive influence over our economy, media, education, environment, elections, and legislation.

It is becoming clearer every day that Corporate Rule is the underlying problem that is causing much damage in our society - from income disparity to illegal "wars", from foreclosed homes to warrantless surveillance, from "bought" elections to taxation without real representation, from a polluted environment to unsustainable and dangerous energy practices, from tax cuts and subsidies for the very rich to austerity for everyone else, and on and on.  This must end!

The great number of groups that are already working on this vital transformation is in itself very encouraging. This site hopes to make it easier for folks to get involved and educated about how to end Corporate Rule - and to unite the many orgs already dedicated to that task. We need to reclaim the creative power of the people and magnify our numbers.  Welcome to the endeavor!

New Books (2011)

Globalization and the Demolition of Society, by Dennis Lou, August 2011 - shows that " free market fundamentalism," also known as neoliberalism, does not make us more secure nor more prosperous. Instead, it tears the social fabric and undermines security, leading inevitably to disasters on the individual, regional, and global levels. He conveys complex topics and questions with remarkable clarity, subtlety, and sophistication. Even after reading only one chapter, you will come away from Globalization and the Demolition of Society looking at the world differently.

How Wall Street Fleeces America, by Steven Lendman, September 2011 - the 1913 Federal Reserve Act let powerful bankers usurp money creation authority in violation of the Constitution's Article I, Section 8, giving only Congress the power to "coin Money (and) regulate the Value thereof..." Thereafter, powerful bankers used their control over money, credit, and debt for private self-enrichment, bankrolling and colluding with Congress and administrations to implement laws favoring themselves.

Raising Elijah: Protecting Our Children in an Age of Environmental Crisis, by Sandra Steingraber, March 2011 - each chapter of this engaging and unique book focuses on one inevitable aspect of childhood, and explores the underlying social, political, and ecological forces behind it. It demonstrates how closely the private, intimate world of parenting connects to the public world of policy-making, and how the ongoing environmental crisis is, fundamentally, a crisis of family life.
